Brigitte Moulinier
I am a freelance tabletop surface designer and studied fashion design, history of fashion and decorative textile in Esmod, Paris. In order to bolster my designer force, I went on to study as an illustrator in Parsons School of Design(NY). After an intensive year in a New York-based design studio, I opened up my own studio in France, first Lyon then Dubai for 8 years, then West of Paris.
I draw every day, it’s an essential part of my routine. I also spend time doing research: I stay tuned to what’s going on in the field and I round up the trends. As soon as I can, I travel to study what “the human hand” is capable of doing - frescos in Bhutan, embroidery in Vietnam, lace in France... I share my finds on Instagram.
ppd gave me the great opportunity to developed a collection and I wanted the designs to be graphic but hand design, strong but delicate, international but specific.
