Anna Wright

Anna Wright is an artist and illustrator. She grew up in Dumfriesshire, in the South West of Scotland, and was influenced by country life, which informs her work alongside her love of colour, pattern and textiles. Since incorporating this into her work at Edinburgh College of Art, Anna has developed her own style with a mixture of fabrics, feathers, pen, ink and paint, infused with colour and humour. Every day you can find her in her studio sketching or searching through her boot for fabrics sourced from various places. Her main focus is on animals, whose humour and character she captures with bold, inky lines, adding colour and texture to her drawings with fabrics and feathers. When the mood is right, the images are accompanied by a witty caption that adds to the joy of the creation.Over the years Anna has turned her hobby into a career and now works from her studio in Winchester, where she also lives.
